Business Man The SmartBusiness initiative offers FREE impartial business advice to businesses looking to introduce new e–technologies. Contact us to discuss your e–technology investment ideas and find out how you may be able to access a grant to do so.

Grants are available to assist businesses move up the DTI''s e–adoption ladder. This ladder has 5 steps:

  1. Introducing email to allow effective communication
  2. Developing a company website
  3. Introducing e–commerce for ordering and paying online
  4. Developing an integrated supply chain e–business
  5. Developing a transformed organisation
The grant covers up to 50% of the costs of the investment up to a maximum of £500 per step of the ladder.

£1700 grant funding currently unallocated. There is the potential for a small amount of addtional funding to come forward in the new year . If successful this will be dispersed on a first come first served basis – in the meantime, please keep applying!
Workshop programme

The initiative is also running a series of FREE workshops to assist businesses in their website marketing and security. Forthcoming workshops are as follows:
