During the summer of 2007, the new system for managing and promoting accommodation across Wiltshire and Swindon was introduced. The new system will links into local, national and international marketing programmes.
In addition, the six local authorities in Wiltshire and Swindon and the private sector have worked together to bring the new visitwiltshire.co.uk website online.
Accommodation providers with a 3–5 star or 3–5 diamond rating have been offered heavily subsidised training sessions on how best to manage their entry. These half day workshops have taken place across the county and cost £20 per person + VAT. A series of free drop in sessions will also be held at TICs across the county.
